I have a passion for helping others find their own strengths to live life to the fullest. I’m not the kind of counselor that utters a few “uh-huhs” while you talk for an hour. I have a straightforward approach that is philosophically CBT, however creative and eclectic in techniques. I like to challenge you to take a new perspective and give you useful tools for your life’s journey. Your life story is beautifully imperfect just like the rest of us, and I want to help you to embrace your stories in order to propel you toward the new ending that you desire. Your journey awaits!

CAREER BIO

I began my counseling career in 2004 at the Crisis Center of SETX where I worked with victims of crime. I also directed the education department to bring public awareness to the subjects of sexual assault and suicide. In 2006, I began work as a career counselor in the TDCJ prison system assisting inmates in their transition back to the free community. I continued my career for almost 6 years in the criminal justice system as a teacher/facilitator of a cognitive-behavioral group. I specialized in anger & violence, self-control, problem solving, domestic violence and parenting counseling.

In 2011, I began my private practice in my office in Texas, as well as, my online practice. My vision was to work with a collaborative team to provide counseling to our local underserved rural counties in Texas and to offer online access to those that are unable to attend office sessions.
