Biography for Donna Darby

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.  Without them, humanity cannot survive” Dalai Lama

Helping others and giving back is a quality that has been instilled in me since a very young age.  I have grown to value and appreciate kindness, respect and love for others.

I also value education and began college immediately and found a love for learning which lead me to multiple degrees.  I completed and received a Bachelor of Science in Education, Masters in Counseling, Masters in Administration and my Licensed Professional Counseling Certification. I am intrigued by the concept that knowledge allows me to enhance the quality of life for another human being.  This ability is very humbling and rewarding.

I have 18 years of experience in education and have a vast knowledge of the needs, emotions and behaviors of kids and adolescents.

Enhancing the quality of life is priority in my philosophy of counseling.  Each individual is empowered with a valuable gift, the gift of choice.  A gift to choose their path in life, sometimes all we need is someone to guide and assist us on which path to take.

I enjoy spending time with my two boys, mowing, bush hogging, being outside in the sun and any activities on the water.  I have a huge love for animals.  I have cows, donkeys, chickens, a rabbit, dogs, a bird, a horse and a cat.
